Students from the Università Pontificia Salesiana visit id-Dar tal-Providenza

A group of catechesis students from the Università Pontificia Salesiana in Rome were at Id-Dar tal-Providenza to have a close look at the SPRED (Special Religious Development) catechesis method. This cathecesis is meant for residents with intellectual disabilities so that they too can grow in their faith. During the year the residents also take part in a SPRED family Mass assisted by their catechist helpers.

The group of students also saw Mgr Mikiel Azzopardi’s museum and were briefed on the work of Id-Dar tad-Providenza by its Director, Fr Martin Micallef. They were here on a three-day visit to focus on the local realities that have to do with catechesis in Malta and Gozo.
