Ħelu Bambin 2 – A Christmas CD Compilation in aid of id-Dar tal-Providenza

The CD Compilation, “Ħelu Bambin 2”, which is being sold in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, includes a variety of Christmas tunes including two originals, one of which was written by Dun Mikiel Azzopardi, the founder of Dar tal-Providenza, entitled “O Bambin Ħelu”. Until now, this melody was only sung by the residents of the Home,who with all their ability sing it every day during Mass, as thanksgiving after Communion. They sing it exactly how they they were thaught to by Dun Mikiel. In this CD, “O Bambin Ħelu” is interpreted for the first time by child singer Gaia, on a musical arrangement by Andrew Żammit, for everyone to enjoy.

Another original song to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Home is aptly entitled “Id-Dar” with lyrics by Fr George Ocar Buttigieg and music by Andrew Żammit. It is sang by a number of established Maltese singers that also interpret the other songs on the CD. Videos were also produced for the two original songs: “O Bambin Ħelu” and “Id-Dar”.
