Festa Futbol in Kalkara in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza

All roads will lead to Kalkara on Friday, 18th September at 6.00pm for the Festa Futbol being organised in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza on the occasion of its 50th Anniversary. Details were given by Mr Alex Farrugia and Mr Martin Meilaq, two members of the organising committee, and Fr Martin Micallef, Director of the Home. Also present were some ex-players from Kalkara who are taking part in the Festa Futbol.

Mr Farrugia said that taking part in this activity are around sixty over forty year olds from Kalkara, including several ex-national team players who over the years played for some of the top Maltese clubs. All players taking part will be donating €10 towards Id-Dar tal-Providenza and the general public can also donate €6.99 by sending an sms on 50618922.

Mr Meilaq said that they appreciate the support from the local sports media as well as the general public for this activity which will see various generations of players from Kalkara who gave their share towards the local football scene.

Fr Martin Micallef thanked the organisers, the players taking part, the sponsors as well as all those who will be present at the Kalkara football ground on 18th September and will be making their donations towards Id-Dar tal-Providenza.
