A newly refurbished kitchen for Id-Dar tal-Providenza

Id-Dar tal-Providenza has a newly refurbished, fully equipped kitchen. The work, coordinated by Joseph Deguara, Head of Maintenance, was spread over a number of months. It included, amongst other things, newly installed conduits for electricity and a safe gas system, wall tiles, the laying of a non-slip rubberised carpet as well as the refurbishment of the vegetables’ preparation room. The kitchen’s staff is made up of full-time personnel as well as volunteers led by Mary Caruana, the Kitchen’s Supervisor. They prepare two full meals a day, seven days a week for the Home’s residents.
