€26,300 raised during gastronomic dinner in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza
€26,300 were raised during Gastronomic Dinner in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza organised by Infinitely Xara Co. Ltd owned by the Zammit Tabona family. This fine dining experience took place for the third year running in the historical setting of the Misraħ il-Kunsill located near the Mdina Local Council office with the gorgeous backdrop of The Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux facade. Over one hundred and seventy guests were treated to a delicious five course meal accompanied by different wines and live acoustic music by Fiona Cauchi throughout the night.
This gastronomic dinner was under the patronage of His Lordship, Mgr Joe Galea Curmi, Auxiliary Bishop of Malta. In his welcome speech, Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza said that over €55,000 were raised in the past two years. In 2017, the event had raised €27,730 which were used to install a much needed new elevator at Villa Papa Giovanni. Last year, the €27,300 raised were used to buy eight specialised food trolleys. Id-Dar tal-Providenza offers residential services to 115 persons with disabilties and relies to a very large extent on the generosity of its benefactors and the public donations it receives to fund the high level of care it provides. Therefore, this fundraising event is very much appreciated.
Fr Martin had a special words of thanks for the Mangement of Infinetely Xara who once again organised this special dinner, the kitchen and waiting staff as well as all the sponsors who without them this event would not have been possible. Company Director, Mrs Nicola Paris, thanked all those present for their support during the last three years during which a total €81,300 was raised.
The dinner was also attended by various established companies, who generously donated money to support Dar tal-Providenza. The principal partners for the night were Conrad Family Office, PWC, VJ Salomone Marketing Ltd, Halmann Vella Ltd, KRS Releasing, The Point Shopping Mall, MFSA, GSD Marketing Ltd, Malta International Airport, Insignia Cards, Francis J. Vassallo & Associates Group, Seifert Systems Ltd, the P. Cutajar Foundation and the Mdina Local Council.
