St Julian’s Parish donates €5,000 to Id-Dar tal-Providenza

On Monday 22nd August 2016, during a Eucharistic Celebration at the Parish church of St Julians, Parish Priest Fr Claude Portelli presented the sum of €5,000 to Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza. The donation is to finance the refurbishment of a hall adjacent to the Home’s chapel and was made on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Parish as well as a gesture of solidarity tied to the Year of Mercy.

The sum of €5,000 was raised by the Parish community during the year through personal donations as well as through organised fundraising events.

Fr Martin Micallef thanked the Parish Priest and the community of St Julians for this noble gesture and Christian solidarity.
