€6,200 raised during 34-hour Abseiling Marathon in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza

€6,200 were raised for Id-Dar tal-Providenza during the 34-hour Abseiling Marathon organized by the Mosta Scouts Group in collaboration with the Mosta Local Council and RTK4Charity that took place on the 22nd and 23rd November on the Mosta Bridge. A record 622 people abseiled down the bridge and were helped by a sizeable group of volunteers. The money raised will be presented during RTK4Charity’s Feast of Generosity on New Year’s Day.

Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, said that such activities are indeed appreciated because they reflect the support given by Maltese society to the work done by the Home and also serve to raise much needed funds for the Home to continue doing the work it is doing and better the services it provides.
