More reports of fraudulent soliciting of funds for Id-Dar tal-Providenza

More reports have reached id-Dar tal-Providenza that certain persons are knocking on doors and informing the occupiers that they have won a sum of money in a lottery organised by the Home for its benefactors. These persons are in turn asking for a sum of money between €200 and €500 in order for them to collect the prize. This is all a fraud.

The administration of id-Dar tal-Providenza wants to make it amply clear that under no circumstances are permissions granted for door-to-door collections. In the past persons were brought to justice by the police and found guilty of fraud.

Whilst thanking the people of Malta and Gozo for its continuous support, Id-Dar tal-Providenza appeals to all those wanting to make a donation that they can do so directly at the Home in Siġġiewi or at its office in Valletta at 244 St Paul Street, just behind the old market. Donations may also be made by cheques or money orders through the mail as well as through internet banking or online at www.dartalprovidenza.org or deposited in the Home’s accounts with local major banks.
Id-Dar tal-Providenza appeals to the general public with information on such illegal soliciting of funds to lodge reports of such cases directly with the police or with the Home itself on 2146 4915 or by email on info@dartal-providenza.org
